The first official EP by Atlanta prog-metal project Ocean Skies. These songs were recorded in late 2020 though some of them have been kicking around in my head for a few years. So Bold is a song I wrote for a musical I was writing in 2018 that I never finished, and Don't Talk Don't Laugh goes back a few years as an instrumental I released as a solo artist (see the album YWMI by Banks Daniels). The other songs were written in the September - November range and I'm really happy with how they turned out. Thanks a bunch to Blake Kirby from Sydney for mixing these tracks and getting them to sound like real songs and not just some stupid demos made by a guy in his bedroom! Thanks to Chris, Nick, and Casey for not kicking me out of the house for recording vocals at 10 PM on weeknights. Lastly thanks to Matt, Henry, Doug, and the rest of my friends on Discord for listening to my long ramblings about my music and my other neurotic rants over voice calls. The music on this EP is the result of months and months of work and I'm very proud of how it has all turned out. Stay tuned for Ocean Skies LP 2 in the coming months.
